Best Shredders for Home Use
Looking for a shredder for home or small office use. The two below get excellent reviews. The OfficeMax costs $99 the Fellowes is $69. They are rated as medium duty not heavy duty, but are fine for home of small office shredding requirements.

This paper shredder gets excellent all 5 star reviews from Amazon. For light office and home use - it is specified as a medium duty document shredder. Bear in mind it doesn't shred CDs and DVD and it shreds staples but not paper clips.
It has safety features but you should always keep pets and children away from shredders.
